BUSTED: Star NHL Player Is Arrested For Boating While Intoxicated

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien was arrested in Minnesota on Wednesday night under suspicion that he was operating a boat while under the influence.
According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Byfuglien was booked at 11:13 p.m. local time on Wednesday evening and released at 2:23 in the morning Thursday. He was arrested based on probable cause and charges have not been officially handed down as of yet.
Perhaps even more shocking: as reported by Darren Wolfson, a Minneapolis sports reporter, Byfuglien weighed in at around 286 pounds, almost 40 pounds over his listed playing weight a year ago. Yikes.
Byfuglien grew up in the Minneapolis area and still keeps a home there in the offseason. His agent refused comment when asked about the arrest by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, and the Jets have yet to make a statement on the arrest.
